Creative Writing

Writer's Suites

Two splendid writer's suites have just been created at Casa Ana for short retreats, each with bed, writing desk, easy chairs, coffee table and access to terraces with glorious mountain views.

To celebrate, from November 09 to February 10 the suites are being offered to writers at a greatly discounted rate of €190 a week, including breakfast each day.

TLC's Literary Adventure, May 2010

In May 2010 The Literature Consultancy (London) invites you to Casa Ana for a Literary Adventure: a week of writing, reading, learning—and relaxing—in a stunning mountain setting which will open the mind and senses.

Spanish Cooking and Culture Holidays

Discover the true taste of Spain: learn to prepare a feast of Spanish dishes, buy fresh fruit and vegetables in the market in Malaga, gather fresh herbs in the mountains, visit the village bodegas to sample local wines and cheeses and spend two days exploring the historic city of Granada including its fabled Alhambra palace.

Movement-for-life retreats in Spain: Somatic Education

Movement-for-Life retreats offer lessons in CFR (Cortical Field Re-education)®—an exciting new method of somatic educataion (brain-body work) which can help you:

  • Eliminate aches, pains and discomfort in your daily life
  • Recover from injuries, old and new
  • Improve your posture, flexibility and co-ordination
  • Rediscover the joy of moving freely

A practitioner will guide you through gentle movement sequences which free up muscles, joints and bones and help you live life to the full. Suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Movement-for-Life retreats lasting from 2 to 7 days are available at Casa Ana throughout the year for individuals or small groups. Current workshops are:

CFR 1: a Movement-for-Life beginners' workshop

Practitioner: Anne Hunt, Director, Movement for Life programme

Do you experience stiff joints? Sore muscles? Old injuries? A bad back? This workshop begins the process of re-educating your nervous system to help you move through your daily life with ease, comfort, freedom and pleasure.

Walking Holidays in Andalucia, Spain

Las Alpujarras, located on the sunny southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains, is a real haven for walkers. Explore this stunning mountain area with walks straight from the door of Casa Ana.
