Walking with a Camera in the Alpujarras
Photography Holidays with Stephen Walby
4 – 11 November 2017
About the holiday
Stephen will lead a week of photography and walking in the Alpujarras, plus a day in Granada and visits to local historic villages.
The walks will be moderate but leisurely and varied with expert photography instruction and advice. At Casa Ana you will be well looked after with first class food, good wines and comfortable accommodation. The holiday will also suit partners and friends who enjoy walking but have no particular interest in photography.
- Learn how to shoot big landscapes in the mountains and valleys of the Alpujarras
- Capture the Moorish architecture of ancient whitewashed villages and explore the backstreets of Granada
- Discover the secrets of successful sunrise and sunset photography
- Get expert tuition geared to you and your camera, whether you are a keen enthusiast or a complete beginner, with the latest DSLR or a simple compact camera
- Take time out to shop, eat, explore and sample the best local cheeses, ham and wines – or simply relax on the terrace with a good book and a cold beer...
(Please note that we may have to modify the programme through changes in weather and other circumstances beyond our control.)

About Walking with a Camera:
"We had such a lovely stay at Casa Ana - it really is a little paradise. Rustic yet modern, simple but comfortable, and our group of strangers made to feel like personal friends of Anne and her team. I would love to return again and again to the peace and tranquility of this bit of heaven on earth."
Janet, March 2016
"As expected, we had a very enjoyable week and learned a lot of new photography techniques. The trip to Granada was particularly inspiring with the B&W theme. Hopefully, one day we will find our way to Casa Ana again."
Pam, March 2016
"We stayed as a couple on a walking & photography holiday. The village is an ideal base for walking, and Casa Ana is highly recommended. The accommodation was traditional (and fascinating as such) but with all modern conveniences like underfloor heating, which we needed as it was quite chilly, especially at night, in March. I loved the communal sitting room and kitchen area. It has mountain and courtyard-garden views and is a comfy and peaceful space to relax with new friends made on the holiday… Something that made a particular impression on me, and enhanced my holiday, was our host Anne's knowledge and obvious love of the area and people. Her network of local contacts made every day more interesting and enjoyable."
