« Return to bed and breakfast main Bed and Breakfast accommodation detailsClick the links below to see the following information on this page: The accommodationThe accommodation consists of two spacious Bed and Breakfast suites at Casa Ana, in the Old Goatshed and the Old Stables, and double and single bedrooms with bathrooms. "The decoration and furnishing are simple but very comfortable and pleasing on the eye. And the bathrooms are excellent" Sue Ullstein, 2007
The Old Goatshed suite sleeps 2 in a large double room on two levels with a modern en suite bathroom. The upper level has a large double bed with bedside lamps and fitted bedside tables and there are fitted cupboards and shelves as well as a fitted desk with electrical socket for laptops. The en suite bathroom is situated off the upper level. A wide archway leads to the lower level with a coffee table, cane armchairs, fitted cupboard and shelves, and writing/laptop desk with electrical socket. The west-facing window looks out to the garden. The Old Stables suite sleeps 2 in 2 bedrooms, the larger of which has a lounge area, sharing a modern bathroom. Both bedrooms are fitted with cupboards and shelves and have fitted bedside tables and lamps. Both are south-facing with large windows and lovely views across the tree-tops to the mountains beyond. The lounge area is furnished with a coffee table and cane armchairs. Both suites have modern bathrooms with rain showers, handbasins, large mirrors, towel rails and hooks and decorated with local hand made ceramic tiles, in geometric patterns inspired by the Arabic designs in the Alhambra palace. BreakfastIn summer you can enjoy your breakfast outside on one of the terraces and in winter, in the cosy parlour. We serve a delicious spread of juices and fruits in season, cereals, yoghurt, and local bread with home made jams and fabulous chestnut or rosemary honey from the local bee-keeper. Picnic lunches are available on request and for groups of 8 or more, a delicious 3-course dinner can be provided at a time to suit you. « Return to bed and breakfast main top Gardens and views
Casa Ana is located the side of the Trevelez river gorge and cradled by mountains on all sides. Step outside the house and you’ll find a maze of south-facing terraces on four different levels, descending down the mountainside and linked by stone steps and paths. To the west of the house is a pretty walled garden, with fruit trees, a lawn and flowerbeds. The garden and terraces are all furnished with tables and chairs in sunny spots and shady corners. There are spectacular views of olive groves and woodlands and the rocky crags of the mountains beyond. It’s an excellent spot for watching wildlife, including golden eagles, ibex and golden orioles, to name but a few. « Return to bed and breakfast main top Facilities and comfortWhen you arrive the owner will be on hand to welcome you and help you with any questions you may have (she speaks English, Spanish and some French). All linens are provided with fresh towels twice a week as well as locally hand-made soaps. In winter, there is under floor central heating throughout the house.
